Getting married at one of our churches
We have two churches in our benefice where you can get married, All Saints, Easington and St Michael's, Liverton.
Why have a church wedding?
Being married in church involves receiving God's blessing on your relationship. As a church community we will be praying for you as you prepare for your marriage and in the months afterwards as you settle down to married life. A church ceremony also gives you the opportunity to include hymns, prayers and bible readings in your service which you are not able to do as part of a civil ceremony.
We Welcome Weddings at Our Churches
We would love to help you tie the knot. There are a few legal restrictions on who can get married in our church, click here to see what they are.
Church Weddings are Great Value
It probably costs a lot less than you think to get married in church.
Our basic charge is around £520 which covers the building, the priest and the calling of banns. You can then tailor your wedding package by adding the services of our organist and choir for which additional fees are payable.
As well as the service itself you will also get all the support that you need from us to plan your special day. Please see the side menu for resources that will help you plan your wedding.
Want to Find out More?
The Church of England also has an excellent weddings website called yourchurchwedding.org which contains all the information and resources you need to plan your wedding.
